Please help us save Invention & Technology, and relaunch it next year.
There is no other popular magazine of the history of engineering and innovation. It is imperative for present and future generations that we keep this wonderful tradition alive and growing.
For the last several years, a dedicated group of volunteers has done its best to keep the magazine alive, bootstrapping the creation of a website with 30 years of articles online.
The nonprofit American Heritage Society is taking over Invention & Technology from the old publishing company and working to relaunch the magazine. The most likely result is quarterly digital issues and one printed issue per year, plus a newsletter and access to the archives for subscribers.
We are building a new website in partnership with the leading engineering societies (ACS, AIAA, ASABE, ASCE, ASME, and IEEE) to combine the Invention & Technology articles archives with essays on more than a thousand engineering landmarks and milestones named by the societies.
This new website will be a valuable educational website on the history of engineering, with over 2,000 essays.
However, the current website uses an old, outdated and unsecure version of Drupal 6 and must be upgraded, redesigned, and made "mobile friendly." We also need an updated system to track subscribers.
Please consider giving a donation to help us save and relaunch the magazine.
