This Fall, American Heritage launches Fourscore (4score.org), the most comprehensive system available for teaching U.S. History, Government, and English Language Arts.

Fourscore features nearly 10,000 resources for teaching -- American Heritage essays, primary historical documents, images and artifacts aggregated from archives and museums across the country. It is is freely available to educators across the country thanks to generous support from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.

A panel of master teachers has bundled materials together in collections of resources and suggested tasks that teachers can implement in the classroom.  The extensive instructional resources we provide to teachers are all aligned to Common Core and C3 Framework standards, and categorized by historical era and theme.

Thanks to our partnership with ETS, every article on Fourscore comes with a TextEvaluator text complexity score, providing teachers with the information they need to select texts for their students and evaluate student engagement on several levels.
