Seth Pollitt
Seth Pollitt is the Social Studies Department Chair and is on the Instructional Leadership Team at Iroquois High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He possesses eight years of experience teaching high school students in U.S History and World Civilization.
Previously, he served as an Interim Assistant Principal at the school, and was an adjunct professor at Bellarmine University. His professional interests and expertise include the role of literacy and the Common Core. Outside of teaching, he has presented his research on using complex texts to increase fluency and comprehension at several national conferences, including the 2013 International Reading Association Conference.
Mr. Pollitt earned his M.A. Ed. in instructional leadership and school administration from Bellarmine University and his M.A. in secondary education and B.A. in history and political science from the University of Louisville. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in education and social change with a focus on literacy at Bellarmine University.
